- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 2/3 c. chopped pecans
- dash of salt
Directions

1Beat cream cheese, butter and flour with electric mixer.

2Chill 1 hour.

3Roll into walnut-sized balls and press into ungreased tart pans.

4In small bowl, mix egg, butter, vanilla, brown sugar, pecans and salt.

5Drop into pastry cups.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

7Makes 24 tarts.
