Pecan Topped Toffee

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 6 (1 3/8 oz.) milk chocolate bars or 1 1/4 c. milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    In deep narrow saucepan, melt butter and sugar; boil to 300°, hard candy stage.

    Stir constantly.

    Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Layer chocolate over hot candy; spread evenly when melted.

    Sprinkle with pecans; press lightly.

    Refrigerate 1 hour (no longer).

    Turn out and break into pieces.
