- 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. sherry or red wine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 12 oz. frozen shrimp, thawed
- 1 small tomato, cut up
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Combine corn syrup, water, soy sauce, sherry or wine, cornstarch, garlic and ginger; set aside.

2Heat oil to medium-low temperature in large frying pan.

3Add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes.

4Add sauce, tomatoes and peppers and bring to a boil.

5Boil 1 minute, stirring gently.
