- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 6 oz. pkg. chocolate or butterscotch chips
- 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Cool slightly; beat in brown sugar.

3Add egg, flour and vanilla until light and fluffy.

4Lightly stir in chocolate or butterscotch bits.

5Spread evenly in greased 8-inch pan.

6Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes; do not overbake.

7Cool and cut into squares.
