  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine milk and sugar.

    Cook slowly, stirring only until sugar is dissolved.

    Cook to 236° or when soft ball forms when dropped in cold water.

    Add butter; cool slightly, then add remaining ingredients.

    Pour into a buttered pan (about 8 x 8-inch).
