  • 3 hot peppers (cayenne), chopped
  • 1 qt. red pepper
  • 1 qt. green pepper
  • 1 qt. cabbage
  • 1 pt. onion
  • 1 pt. carrots
  • 4 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 c. sugar

    All measurements are after being chopped.

    Sprinkle salt over chopped vegetables.

    Let stand about 30 minutes.

    Drain well.

    Add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed.

    Cook until thick. Put in jars and seal.
