- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 lb. beef round steak (thin)
- 1 medium onion, sliced tin
- 1 tomato, peeled and cut
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large green pepper, sliced
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. cold water
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Place oil, beef, onion, tomato and garlic in 1 1/2-quart casserole and cover.

3Cook until meat has lost its pink color.

4Stir occasionally.

5Dissolve cornstarch in water with soy sauce and sugar.

6Put over meat.

7Add green pepper. Cook until peppers are tender yet slightly crisp.

8Serves over rice.
