- 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 c. beef broth
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced, or 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 c. stewed tomatoes
- 1 box mushrooms or 1 small can
- 3 to 4 c. rice
Directions

1Brown meat.

2Add onions; stir until golden brown.

3Add broth, soy sauce and garlic.

4Cover; cook for 10 minutes, or until meat is tender.

5Add green peppers.

6Re-cover; simmer for 5 minutes. Blend cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture.

7Stir until thickens or boils.

8Add tomatoes; heat.

9Serve over rice.
