- 1 1/2 lb. top beef round
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 c. water
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 2 medium green peppers
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 to 3 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 large tomatoes
Directions

1Trim fat from meat; cut into strips.

2Heat oil in large skillet.

3Add meat and cook, turning often, until brown.

4Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger.

5Heat to boiling.

6Reduce heat; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.

7Add peppers (cut into strips) and tomatoes (cut into strips) the last 5 minutes.

8Blend cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce; stir into meat mixture.

9Stir constantly until thickened.

10Boil and stir 1 minute.

11Serve over rice.
