Ingredients
- 1 lb. sirloin or round steak (1/4-inch thick)
- 2 Tbsp. fat
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 1 bell pepper, cut in thin rings
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Directions

1Cut meat in finger size pieces; brown slowly in hot fat for about 15 minutes.

2Add onion and garlic the last few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

3Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water; add to meat.

4Cover and simmer until meat is tender, 20 to 25 minutes.

5This may be done early in day and refrigerated.

6Add tomatoes and bell pepper to meat mixture; cook 10 minutes longer. Combine cornstarch, water and soy sauce; stir into meat mixture. Bring to boil; cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer. Remove garlic and serve over hot noodles.
