  • 1 lb. round steak, in strips
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • garlic salt to taste
  • 1 medium onion, cut in rings
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 large green peppers, in rings

Directions

    Brown steak in shortening.

    Remove steak.

    Blend in flour. Add ketchup, water, soy sauce, black pepper and garlic salt.

    Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Drop in meat and cook until tender (10 minutes).

    Add pepper and onion rings.

    Cook until tender on low.

    Best cooked in crock-pot.
