  • salad oil
  • 2 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
