  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cracked or coarse ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup cold Land O Lakes Butter, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 3/4 cup Land O Lakes Half & Half or Fat-Free Half & Half
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard

    Heat oven to 425F.

    Grease or line large baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.

    Combine flour, baking powder, onion powder and pepper in bowl; mix well.

    Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Stir cheese and chives into flour mixture until well mixed.

    Combine half & half and mustard in another bowl; beat with whisk.

    Stir into flour mixture with fork just until moistened.

    Spoon dough onto well-floured surface; turn to coat with flour.

    Knead 5 or 6 times.

    Pat out to 10x5-inch rectangle.

    Cut lengthwise in half with knife; cut crosswise into 4 equal parts to make 8 square biscuits.

    Place biscuits, 1 inch apart, onto prepared baking sheet.

    Bake 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
