Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 pt. oysters
- 1 qt. scalded milk
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Combine the flour, salt, pepper and water.

2Blend together to make a smooth paste.

3Stir into the oysters with their liquid in saucepan over low heat.

4Simmer oysters over low heat until edges curl.

5Pour into the milk.

6Remove from heat and cover.

7Let stand 10 or 15 minutes to improve flavor.

8Add the butter or margarine and reheat briefly.

9Rinse soup tureen and/or soup plates with hot water so soup will stay piping hot.

10Serve with oyster crackers.
