- 3 tablespoons oil
- salt, to taste
- 13 cup popcorn
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions

1Heat oil and salt in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

2Put 3 or 4 popcorn kernels in the oil and put on the lid.

3When the kernels pop, dump the rest of the popcorn in the pan, remove from heat and count to 30.

4Put back on the burner.

5The popcorn should start popping fairly quickly.

6Keep the lid slightly ajar and jiggle the pan so the kernels do not burn.

7Once the popping slows to several seconds between pops, remove from heat and dump into a bowl.

8Place the butter in the hot pan until melted.

9Pour over the popcorn and mix well.
