- 2 c. plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. persimmon pulp
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir lightly and set aside.

2Combine sugar, persimmon pulp, milk and eggs.

3Mix well.

4Stir in pecans.

5Spoon batter into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

6Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until bread is done. Yields one loaf.
