- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. persimmons, chopped
- 1 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Cream together shortening, sugar and brown sugar.

2Add eggs and mix well.

3Add the remainder of ingredients, mixing as you add each ingredient.

4Pour into an angel food cake pan or Bundt cake pan.

5Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

6Serve plain or with whipped cream.
