- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. persimmon pulp
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar.

2Add egg and mix well.

3Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with persimmon pulp.

4Add raisins and nuts; beat throughly.

5Drop on greased cookie sheet by spoonful (size optional), about 1 1/2 to 2-inches apart.

6Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
