- 1 c. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2/3 cloves chopped garlic
- 2 c. fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1/4 c. toasted pine nuts
Directions

1Combine oil, pepper and garlic in blender.

2Add some basil and blend.

3Add the rest gradually until thin.

4If too thick, add more oil.

5Pour into bowl and add cheese and pine nuts.

6Mix well.

7Put in small containers and drizzle oil onto the back of a spoon to form a protective layer on top of pesto.

8Store in refrigerator or freezer.

9Do not heat pesto.

10(One cup of pesto for 1 pound pasta.)
