Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, snipped and loosely packed
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, snipped and loosely packed
  • 1 T extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 T balsamic or malt vinegar
  • 2 T grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 T chicken broth, more if a thinner sauce is desired
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 T finely chopped walnuts
  • freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions

    Combine and process all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Use on pastas, brush on grilled chicken or fish, dab on sun-warmed tomatoes, or stir into a cool bowl of fresh tomato soup.
