- 1 1/2 c. Pace picante sauce
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. Colby cheese, grated
- 1/2 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk, soured with 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Fry meat and drain.

2Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, soda and sugar.

3Add milk, egg and oil, mixing well.

4Add meat, onion, pepper, picante sauce and cheese.

5Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 400° for about 20 minutes or until brown.

6Cut into 24 squares.
