  • 1 (1 lb.) can sliced beets
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 to 1/3 c. sugar
  • whole cloves (4 to 6)

Directions

    Drain beets and retain 1/2 cup beet juice.

    Add beet juice, vinegar, sugar and cloves to beets and bring to a boil.

    Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Good served either hot or cold.
