  • 1 1/2 gal. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 gal. water
  • 1 box salt
  • whole okra pods
  • 1 tsp. dill seed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (or any hot pepper)

Directions

    Pour hot vinegar solution over okra, etc. in the jar.

    Seal; do not crowd okra in the jar.

    It takes at least three weeks to pickle and get crisp.
