Pickled Peaches

  • 3 qt. peaches (small cling seed)
  • 2 lb. sugar
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 pt. water
  • 2 Tbsp. cloves
  • 6 (2 inch) cinnamon sticks

Directions

    Wash and peel peaches. Cook sugar, vinegar, water and spices for 10 minutes. Add peaches and cook slowly until tender. Let peaches stand in syrup over night. The next morning drain

    and cook syrup until it thickens slightly. Pack peaches in jars and cover with hot syrup. Seal the jars.
