  • 2 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 pt. vinegar
  • whole cloves
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 4 qt. peaches

Directions

    Combine sugar, cinnamon and vinegar.

    Cook for 20 minutes. Dip each peach in boiling water.

    Remove skin by rubbing with a cloth.
  4. 4
    Stick 2 cloves into each peach.

    Cook in the syrup until tender.

    Do not cook too many at one time.

    Place cooked peaches in preheated glass jars. Boil remaining syrup for 10 minutes. Pour over peaches.

    Seal jars.
