Pickled Salmon

Ingredients
- 1 12 cups white vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon pickling spices
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion, sliced
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 3 lbs salmon steaks
Directions

1In a large non-aluminum saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the salmon.

2Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

3Lower heat, add salmon to liquid and simmer for about 10 minutes.

4Remove salmon to a serving dish and strain liquid.

5Pour the strained liquid back over the salmon.

6Chill before serving.

7Serves 6 to 8.
