  • 2 lb. green beans
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large onion, diced

Directions

    French cut and cook the green beans.

    While they are cooking, combine water, sugar and vinegar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Drain cooked beans and put into large jar.

    Slice onion thinly over beans.
  4. 4
    While still hot, pour liquid over them.
  5. 5
    Chill.
