  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can butter beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion

Directions

    Drain beans and place in 2-quart casserole.

    Dice bacon and fry until crisp.

    Remove bacon from pan.

    To the bacon grease, add the water, sugar, dry mustard and onions.

    (If bacon is very fat, all the grease does not have to be used.)

    Simmer 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Pour over beans; add bacon and mix well.

    Bake at 350°, uncovered, for 1 hour.

    Stir once or twice while baking.
