- 8 c. flour
- 1 2/3 c. water
- 2 2/3 c. shortening
- 4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Sift flour and salt together.

2Cut in shortening with pastry blender, until size of small peas.

3Sprinkle water over mixture, while tossing quickly with fork, until particles stick together. Form into smooth ball.

4For ease, roll pastry on Tupperware pastry cloth and wax paper.

5Make 1 inch larger than pie pan.

6Pat out air; crimp edges.

7Prick entire crust thoroughly before baking. This prevents bubbles and excess shrinkage.

8Bake in a hot oven (450°) for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

9Makes 4 (9-inch) pie crusts.
