- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. lard
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Blend flour, sugar and salt.

2Cut in lard until particles are size of peas.

3Beat egg; blend in vinegar and cold water.

4Sprinkle over flour mixture, a tablespoon at a time, tossing with fork to mix.

5Gather dough together with fingers so it cleans the bowl. Chill before rolling (even better after it has been frozen).

6Makes two 9-inch 2-crust pies and one 9-inch pie shell.
