  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 or 6 Tbsp. water

    Sift flour and salt together.

    Add shortening; blend until fine and mealy.

    Add vinegar and egg.

    Add 1 tablespoon water at a time.

    Yield: 2 pie crusts.
