- 2 cups flour
- 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 6 tablespoons shortening
- 3 tablespoons ice water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions

1Put flour in a medium bowl.

2Cut in butter and shortening with pastry blender or rub in with fingertips until mixture resembles small peas.

3Put water in a cupwith ice cubes.

4Take water out of cup with ice cubes 1 tablespoon at a time and add to crust with lemon juice.

5Toss with a fork until evenly moistened and pastry starts to clump together.

6Gather into a ball, and then divide in half.

7Press each half into a disc.

8Wrap and refrigerate at least 30 minutes or until firm enough to roll out, or up to 3 days.

9Bake pie crust as recipe instructs.
