- 1 egg (60 grams)
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. self-rising flour*
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Beat egg and sugar.

2Add flour alternately with milk in which bicarbonate of soda has been dissolved.

3Add melted butter.

4Have ready a hot greased pan or griddle iron.

5Put mixture in dessertspoonfuls in pan or on griddle iron.

6Brown both sides, lift out and drain on absorbent paper.

7Serve topped with jam and whipped cream for morning or afternoon tea.
