- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 onions
- 1 1/2 c. raw rice
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1 to 2 c. cooked chicken
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- salt to taste
Directions

1Fry onions in oil until soft.

2Add raw rice; fry until light golden brown.

3Add raisins and cook for 3 minutes.

4Add chicken broth, cinnamon, salt, cardamom and cloves.

5Cover and cook for 10 minutes.

6Add cooked chicken and almonds.

7Cook until rice absorbs all liquid.

8Serve with plain yogurt on the side.
