- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces pineapple tidbits
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 (16 ounce) cansliced beets
Directions

1Drain sliced beets and cut into half pieces Set aside.

2In a medium saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.

3Stir in pineapple and juice.

4Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles.

5Add butter, lemon juice and beets.

6Cook an additional 5 minutes until heated through.

7Serve and enjoy!
