  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt (1 tsp.)
  • 16 oz. crushed pineapple (do not drain)
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. canned milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Directions

    Combine flour, 2 cups sugar, soda, eggs, vanilla, salt and pineapple.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in 13 x 9-inch pan. Remove from oven and prepare icing by cooking together the 1 cup white sugar, canned milk and margarine for 10 minutes after boiling starts.

    Remove from heat and add coconut and nuts.

    Pour hot icing over warm cake.
