Pineapple Cheese Pie

  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 9 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Cook until thick and clear the sugar, cornstarch and pineapple. Cool.

    Mix cream cheese, sugar, salt and eggs.

    Add milk and vanilla.

    Pour pineapple mixture on bottom of pie shell.

    Then add cream cheese mixture.

    You can sprinkle 1/4 chopped pecans on top if desired.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes and then at 325° for 35 to 45 minutes until done.
