- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 cinnamon sticks 1 inch
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 cup crushed pineapple
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric optional
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala purchased or homemade, see recipe
Directions

1In a pan, heat oil.

2Add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks and cloves.

3Let spices sizzle and swell.

4Then add pineapple, sugar, salt and turmeric.

5Let mixture cook for 5-6 minutes.

6Add garam masala and remove from heat.

7Cool before storing.
