- 1 (2 lb.) can crushed pineapple
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. corn flakes
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Drain pineapple; reserve liquid.

2Sift flour and baking soda. Cream shortening and sugar.

3Add flour mixture, vanilla and 1 tablespoon pineapple liquid.

4Stir in corn flakes.

5Press into balls 1 1/4 inches in diameter.

6Place on cookie sheet and make an indentation in each.

7Fill with crushed pineapple and sprinkle with nuts.

8Bake in 350° oven about 20 minutes.

9Store uncovered.
