Pineapple Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 sq. butter (1/4 stick)
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 (12 oz.) can pineapple juice
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream

Directions

    Melt butter.

    Add flour, sugar, salt, egg yolks and juice. Blend all together.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and foamy.

    Fold into ingredients.

    Cook over low heat and keep stirring until it thickens when it cools.

    Fold in whip cream.

    Serve over lime Jell-O with crushed pineapple in it.
