  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. commercial pineapple preserves
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Gradually add sugar to margarine creaming until light and fluffy.

    Beat in egg and preserves.

    Sift together dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture, mixing thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake at 375° about 10 minutes or until cookies are delicately browned.
