Pineapple Pound Cake

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 medium size can crushed pineapple (use 3/4 c. with juice for cake and 1 c. drained for glaze)

    Cream together Crisco, margarine and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

    Add cake flour and baking powder.

    Beat in milk.

    Add vanilla and 3/4 cup pineapple with juice.

    Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours in tube pan.
