- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 2 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. undrained crushed pineapple
- 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
Directions

1Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan; set aside.

2In a large bowl, cream the shortening, butter and sugar.

3Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

4In another bowl, sift the flour and baking powder.

5Add the flour in small batches to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour.
