- 2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 8 large eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time; beat well.

3Add flour and salt.

4Add vanilla.

5Gradually stir in pineapple.

6Grease the bottom of a tube pan.

7Add batter; bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours, or until cake tests done.
