- 2/3 c. lukewarm milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 yeast cake
- 3 beaten egg yolks
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 lb. oleo
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Directions

1Ferment milk, sugar and yeast and set aside.

2Add beaten egg yolks to fermented yeast.

3Combine flour, oleo, salt and extract as for pie crust.

4Mix all ingredients well into a soft dough. Divide dough into 2 parts.

5Roll 1 to fit the bottom of a 13 1/2 x 9 1/2-inch pan.

6Spread cooled filling over this dough.

7Roll remaining dough to fit over the top.

8Let rise until light, about 1 hour.

9Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until brown.

10Frost with a thin frosting and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
