- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 4 or 5 slices pineapple (enough to cover bottom of small skillet)
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Heat together the first 3 ingredients until sugar and butter are well melted.

3Pour remaining ingredients over pineapple mixture in skillet.

4Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.

5When cake is cooled, invert on cake plate.
