Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 6 canned pineapple slices
- 6 maraschino cherries
- 1 c. chopped walnuts, divided
- 1 pkg. (18.25 oz) white cake mix
Directions

1Preheat oven at 350°.

2Place pineapple slices in a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.

3Place a cherry in the center of each slice.

4Sprinkle half of the walnuts around the pineapple.

5Prepare cake mix according to package directions; spoon batter over pineapple layer.

6Sprinkle with remaining nuts.

7Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

8Cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
