Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large can pineapple slices, drained and cut into halves (reserve juice)
  • maraschino cherries
  • pecan halves
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (no oil method)

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Melt butter in oven in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or in microwave if using a microsafe baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter and lightly blend into butter. Arrange pineapple halves, cherries and pecans over sugar mixture.
