- 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1 cup flaked coconut
Directions

1Drain cherries, reserving juice.

2Coarsely chop cherries, set aside cherries and juice.

3In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients.

4In another bowl, beat eggs and cherry juice.

5Stir into dry ingredients just unil combined.

6Fold in walnuts, coconut and cherries.

7Transfer to two greased 8x4x2 inch loaf pans.

8Bake at 350° for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

9Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans.

10Makes 2 loaves.
