- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 lb. bacon, diced
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, chopped
- 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 egg
- Flaky Butter Pastry (following)
Directions

1Crumble beef and set aside.

2In heavy skillet, brown bacon until crisp.

3Pour off drippings.

4Add onion and beef, saute for 3 to 4 minutes, until meat has lost its pinkness.

5Add mushrooms and cook until liquid is absorbed.

6Stir in tomato paste, thyme, salt, black pepper and sour cream.

7Remove from heat and cool.
